Biodiversity
Biodiversity means biological diversity, namely ecosystem diversity, species diversity and genetic diversity within a species.
In the Algarve, there are a large number of "stations of biodiversity" (Estações de Biodiversidade). These stations are mostly situated in the hinterland and they compensate for the hotels and large towns that line the coastal areas.
We report on the biodiversity of:
- Biotopes or habitats
- Nature in the hinterland and in the mountains
- Reservoirs
- Marine life
